Make A Mends is all about slow fashion. We create, mend and embellish clothes. Our HQ is in
Redruth, Cornwall.

We help you extend the life of your clothes through thoughtful repair, creative reworking and practical skills.

We believe there is no need to buy new.

We repurpose items such as duvets and tea-towels and use vintage fabrics to make unique pieces for you to wear.

We repair and embellish old clothes and give them a new lease of life.

And we have a clothing repair service to ensure your clothes last longer and remain comfortable, growing old beautifully with you.

From hems and zips to structural repairs and visible mending, we restore everyday garments with care and skill.

We transform tired or damaged pieces into something renewed – adorning, patching and reimagining fabric with character.

We run workshops and community sessions that build confidence in mending, making and multi-cycling textiles.

Handmade, reworked and repaired pieces – each one with a story.

We also created the RE Town Trail , by inviting local businesses to choose a word beginning with “RE” that best described their practice or shop.

We made banners for the businesses which they displayed and became part of a Town Trail, which you can still enjoy today.

It’s a celebration of our town centre.
